  • Race and Equity

    This training examines trauma through a lens of equity and social justice. We discuss systematic oppression, racial equity, implicit bias and the importance of culturally responsive TIP practices in working with children, families and communities. Participants learn strategies for supporting young children's social emotional competence and develop awareness about policies and practices that prevent suspension, expulsion and inequitable discipline practices that disproportionately and negatively impact young children of color.

  • Program Administration Scale (PAS)

    Participants will be introduced to the Program Administration Scale (PAS) tool that introduces a scoring system, giving the opportunity to have "mock" score scenarios, and use the PAS tool to conduct a self-assessment of their own program. An additional focus on visionary leadership, and the five traits of inspirational leaders will be presented. Participants will have the opportunity to identify their leadership style and implications for an early education setting.
